Italian language programs with Dante Alighieri course curriculum

Universities and colleges seeking to integrate their students into the Dante Alighieri Siena world-renowned language course curriculum have the following possibilities:

a) The students can be placed in Dante Alighieri Siena INTERNATIONAL CLASSES (min. 5 – max. 12 students per class – lessons are 60 minutes) together with other students coming from all over the world and with the same Italian language level. At the beginning of the program Dante Alighieri Siena teachers will evaluate the students’ level with a written placement test and a short oral interview. Students follow the Dante Alighieri Siena LANGUAGE SYLLABI that have been studied according to PLIDA (Progetto Lingua Italiana Dante Alighieri) framework and the Framework of Modern Language edited by the European Council of Modern Languages. For the recognition of the Società Dante Alighieri, the Siena Committee, and PLIDA Certification please see attachment. Students take weekly quizzes, a mid-term and a final exam which have been specially created in agreement with the Language Department of the Foreign Institutions and the Director of the Program.

b) Students take Italian lessons EXCLUSIVELY with students from their own institution and according to the number of hours previously determined by their University. The classes are formed by the Language Department before the arrival of the students. The University and/or College Department agrees with Dante Alighieri Siena on a syllabus at one or more levels. The Dante Alighieri Siena faculty follows the approved syllabus/i and administers quizzes, as well as mid-terms and final examinations.
